Vision Statement
New Jersey City University recognizes that liberal arts and sciences are basic components in the design of an excellent undergraduate education. The General Studies Program is a total baccalaureate experience, one ultimately integrated with the major that emphasizes the knowledge, skills, and habits of thought that lead to the development of intellect, creativity, breadth of view, and imagination. The development of the General Studies Program is an on-going process that requires continuing experimentation and assessment and overt encouragement to innovation in approaches to teaching and learning.
