November Events
 
On Tuesday 24 November, the College is sponsoring a roundtable discussion on "Why Darwin Matters:  The 150th Anniversary of the 'Origin of Species,'" in GSUB Multipurpose Room A, from 1 to 3 pm.  Faculty from philosophy, geology, biology, anthropology, women's and gender studies, English, and political science will discuss how Darwin's work has shaped their discplines.  Light refreshments will be served.

 
On Thursday 19 November, Professor Cindy Arrigo, Biology Department, will be presenting a workshop on acquiring grants and developing strategies for collaborative research. The workshop will be held in GSUB 119 from noon to 1 pm. Contact the Dean's Office at x3001 for more details. 

 
On Wednesday 18 November, the English Department is hosting author Mary Capello who will discuss memoir writing and present her new memoir, entitled Called Back: My Reply to Cancer, My Return to Life.  The event is being held in GSUB 306 from 4 to 6 pm. Contact Prof. Fausty for more information. 
 

 
On Tuesday 17 November, the English Department is celebrating the launch of the latest issue of PATHs, the student journal of creative writing.  The festivities are from noon to 1:15 in the Gothic Lounge, 202 Hepburn Hall.
 

 
On Monday 16 November, the English Department is hosting an informational session entitled "Got Questions About Graduate School? We've Got Answers" for students interested in pursuing graduate school.  The workshop will by held in GSUB 306, from 3:30 to 5 pm.  For further information, please contacts Profs. Edvige Giunta or Joshua Fausty.

On Wednesday 11 November, the English Department is sponsoring "100 Words at a Time...A First Reading by NJCU Students."  The event is from 6 to 8 pm in The Gothic Lounge (Hepburn 202) and features readings and discussion with fourteen NJCU students. October Events
 
Marc Dalio, Music, Dance and Theatre, performed in the Bickford Theatre's production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," a four-person musical comedy.  The show involves each of the four cast members playing a total of 64 characters as they drive down the slippery road of relationships, marriage, children, and aging.  This critically received show was the first professional production in New Jersey since the end of the show's successful Off-Broadway run in New York City.
