Works produced by students in our Media Arts Department have been purchased by Ernst Klett Verlag Publishers, one of Germany's largest publishers. As part of its advanced level scholastic materials, Klett is releasing a DVD of film material meant to help German students' audio-visual learning skills. Associate Professor Joel Katz, Media Arts, and Media Arts Associate Director Jim Wallace worked as liaisons between the Department and Klett Publishers. About a dozen NJCU students are being paid for the rights to have their films distributed by Klett. The DVD and accompanying workbook, intended for 11th- and 12th-grade students, is scheduled for an early 2010 release date and distribution throughout Germany.
