Writing Effective Course Proposals: Navigating Through The Approval Process Presented by Dr. Donna M. Farina Multicultural Education Department Thursday November 1, 2007 12-1:30 PM Center for Teaching and Learning Vodra Hall Room 143 Open to All Faculty and Especially Recommended for New Faculty
This workshop is designed to assist faculty in preparing a course proposal for review by the Senate Curriculum and Instruction Committee (undergraduate courses) or by the Senate Graduate Studies Committee (graduate courses).
The workshop is open to all faculty and is recommended especially for new faculty who are not familiar with the NJCU course approval process.
During the workshop, Dr. Farina will discuss the mechanics of the course approval process at NJCU, the Senate guidelines for course proposals, and the format for writing effective student learning outcomes. Successful proposals already approved by the Senate will serve as models and will be shared with participants.
