This course prepares students for the examination required to become a Certified Alarm Technician. While covering theory, installation, and maintenance of electronic alarm systems, the course will include demonstrations of analog verses digital, and CCTV verses direct internet access. Classes are limited to 12 students to provide hands-on experience in simulated alarm system installation. Examination fees for the Certified Alarm Security Technician exam, a course book, and equipment are included in the course fee. Students may complete the course in any of the following sessions: Session I: Mondays through Fridays, September 14-18 and September 21-25, and Monday through Thursday, September 28-October 1; 5:15–8:45 p.m. (Section 7658) Session II: Mondays through Fridays, October 12-16 and October 19-23, and Monday through Thursday October 26-29; 5:15–8:45 p.m. (Section 7670) Session III: Mondays through Fridays, November 2-6 and November 9-13, and Monday through Thursday, November 16-19; 5:15–8:45 p.m. (Section 7671) Cost: $2,500.00 Location: TBD Instructor: Alan Glasser, Certified by the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association as an instructor and technician; certified instructor, National Alarm Association of America Registration Deadlines: One week before the first day of each course. |
