Medical Withdrawals
If you find it necessary to withdraw from the University due to medical circumstances (i.e. hospitalization for an accident or illness), you must arrange an appointment with the Director for Counseling & Wellness Services by calling 201-200-3165.   Be sure to indicate that you would like to withdraw from the University for medical reasons.  You must provide appropriate supporting documentation at the time of the appointment.

Students who choose to appeal the Director’s decision should contact the Dean of Students  at 201-200-3525 to request an appointment.

In addition to meeting with the Director for Counseling and Wellness Services, you must also officially withdraw from each of your courses at the Registrar’s Office , located at Hepburn 214 ( 201-200-3334).

If you are requesting a medical withdrawal after the semester is completed, you must make an appeal to the Dean of Arts & Sciences, in Hepburn 304 ( 201-200-3001).
