Abisola Gallagher-Hobson, Ed.D., Director for Counseling & Wellness Services
Dr. Gallagher completed a Bachelor's degree with honors in Psychology at Northeastern Illinois University, a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin, and her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology at Rutgers University. She has a New Jersey license to practice psychotherapy. Her professional interests include empowerment, diversity issues (race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc.), spirituality, sexual abuse/assault, anger management, depression, anxiety, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Alissa Koval-Dhaliwal, Ph.D., Psychologist
Dr. Koval-Dhaliwal earned her Bachelor's degree at Oberlin College in Ohio, where she majored in Psychology and in Women's Studies. She completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and is licensed as a psychologist in the state of New York. Her professional interests include multicultural issues, oppression and empowerment, eating disorders and body image, adoption-related concerns, self-esteem, recovery from sexual abuse and assault, sexual orientation concerns and supporting students with disabilities.

Alfredo Lowe, Ph.D., LCADC, ABPP, Psychologist
Dr. Lowe completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at The College of New Jersey, graduating with honors. He received a Master's degree in Educational Psychology at Montclair State University and his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. Dr. Lowe is currently licensed to practice psychotherapy in both New Jersey and New York. His professional interests include child and adolescent psychology, autism spectrum disorders, substance abuse, attachment issues, anxiety, and depressive disorders.

Jennifer Mullan-Gonzalez, Psy.D., Psychologist
Dr. Mullan-Gonzalez completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at New Jersey City University, graduating with honors, and obtained her certification to teach Elementary Education. She received her Master's degree in Counseling and Community Agencies at New York University, The Steinhardt School of Education, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Mullan-Gonzalez completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Her professional interests include inner city youth, complex and intergenerational trauma, diversity issues, child and adolescent development, men of color and masculine ideologies, spirituality and psychotherapy, and sexual abuse.

Jessica McKenzie, Secretary
Ms. McKenzie worked in the A. Harry Moore School for four years, and before that, in the Center for Teacher Preparation and Partnerships for four years. She is a graduate of Snyder High School in Jersey City, and attended the Wood School (now the Wood Tobe-Coburn school) in New York City for her secretarial training. In the future she would like to earn her Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology at NJCU. |
