The mission of the NJCU Counseling Center is to foster the personal, academic and career development needs of our clients through a wide range of services, including individual and group counseling. We are responsive to the needs of our diverse community, and committed to the empowerment of our students and to helping them realize their fullest personal and educational potential. The staff also supports the academic goals of the University through participation in service activities and consultation with student organizations, staff, faculty, and administrators. We strive to treat each individual with caring and respect and to provide a warm and welcome atmosphere of compassion and acceptance. The staff is committed to ongoing training and their own professional growth and development to maintain the highest level of clinical skills, knowledge, and competency.
