The Facilities Customer Service Center located in the Facilities Building on West Side Avenue, is the communication service hub for Facilities and Construction Management, providing a centralized contact-point for work requests and information, as well as a generator of news announcing special events, emergencies and shutdowns.
The role of the Center is to develop and maintain customer relationships; facilitate work order requests, manage the computerized maintenance work order system and gather and disseminate information. The Center processes 9,000 work orders per year, tracking materials and labor costs for custodial, maintenance and repair work requests. The Center also coordinates with the appropriate group within Facilities and Construction Management to ensure that customer needs have been communicated.
