Master of Arts and Teaching - M.A.T. - P-3 Certification
The MAT in Early Childhood Education leads to initial P-3 certification (30 credits) and to a MAT degree upon completion of an additional six credits. The certification courses focus on developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum and the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to be an effective early childhood teacher.

Leadership Track
The MA in Early Childhood offers an opportunity for advanced study in either of two tracks, the Specialist Track or the Leadership Track. The Specialist Track emphasizes developmental theory, research, and curriculum development. The Leadership Track incorporates principles and practices in supervision and curriculum development.
