STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE

2007-2008

The State of New Jersey requires (by law) that every full-time college student must maintain health insurance coverage throughout the period of their enrollment. For the purpose of insurance, full-time undergrad students must be registered for 12 or more credits and full-time grad students must be registered for 9 or more credits.

To assist students in meeting this requirement, a discounted Student Health Insurance Plan through Bollinger Insurance Company has been selected for NJCU for the 2007-2008 policy year. Policy details and claim forms can be found at www.BollingerInsurance.com/njcu/.
The 2006-2007 policy (expiring on August 14th, 2007) can also be viewed on the same site.

COST
The premium is automatically added to the tuition bill of full-time students. Coverage is effective August 15th, 2007 through August 14th, 2008. The full-year premium for non-international students is $ 123.00. The cost for international students is $148.00 and includes a mandatory $25.00 fee for medical evacuation and repatriation.

Part-time students are not required to have insurance coverage and will not be charged. Part-time students can opt to purchase the policy (directly from the Bollinger Insurance Company) and eligible spouses and dependents of students may be enrolled in the plan. Enrollment forms can be found at www.BollingerInsurance.com/njcu/ .

The University will not be involved in billing or collecting fees for this optional insurance purchase.
