Dr. Kathryn D'Alessandro is an Associate Professsor with a Ph.D. in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MA in Theatre/Film from the Pennsylvania State University, and a BA in English Writing with a minor in Film from Penn State. Here at NJCU, she teaches courses raging from Development of Film I and II to Film Aesthetics to various genre and national cinema courses and serves as the Chair of the Honors Program. Her favorite areas of study include science-fiction film and television, Japanese and Asian Cinema, and contemporary issues in criticism and theory.
