Marcin Ramocki was born in Krakow, Poland and studied studio art and anthropology at Dartmouth College. He began experimenting with digital media in 1996 while working on his MFA degree at The University of Pennsylvania, and since exhibited both in gallery environment and online. Currently Marcin lives and works in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and teaches Digital Media at New Jersey City University. He is also a founder and curator of vertexList art space in Brooklyn. He has exhibited his interactive installations, documentary projects and video works at MoMa NYC, Rhizome/New Museum, Hirshorn Museum, Wexner Center, ACMI Melbourne, La Societe des Arts Technologiques Montreal, White Box Gallery, Foxy Productions, Anthology Film Archives, Jamaica Center for The Arts, Artmoving Projects and many more. His second documentary feature “Brooklyn DIY” premiered as the closing night film at the Museum of Modern Art Documentary Fortnight program in early 2009.
