Its temperate winters and lush subtropical climate have attracted students from around the world for decades. Fall application deadline is June 1, but the French visa process is lengthy, so students are strongly urged to complete the application process early.

Calendar :   Fall semester (August to December)

Fall semester begins at the end of August. Holiday break one week towards the end of October. Semester ends around December 17th .  

Spring semester: (January to May)

Spring semester beings end of January. Holiday break one week from the end of February to beginning of March, Easter break is one week in April. Semester ends at the end of May.

Summer Program: third week in June to third week in July

France Visa Information

All students who wish to study in France longer than three months must first register with "CampusFrance" in order to obtain a student visa. You will need to obtain PROOF OF PAYMENT FROM CAMPUSFRANCE in order to apply for the visa. Please visit http://usa.campusfrance.org/en/1.html

Campus France cannot activate your account until you’ve completely finished creating your profile on their site AND send them payment and a photocopy of your admission letter.

You must make an appointment for a visa. Do not schedule appointment earlier than three weeks after you complete CampusFrance. Appointment website: http://www.consulfrance-newyork.org/spip.php?article500

Remember to indicate a date of departure. The application is in French. There is a link to a translation at the bottom of the page.
