Study Abroad FAQ


HOW TO APPLY

1. Contact the Study Abroad Office to discuss your plan

2. Complete the NJCU  Study Abroad application- paper application or on-line version. It contains five parts:
 Your host school/ program will also require a separate application. See individual programs' websites for information

 
Eligibility
  • 2.5 GPA [some programs require a higher grade point average]
  • Must have completed at least three semesters at NJCU or as a transfer student

Financial Aid

If you receive financial aid, you may use your aid for an NJCU Study Abroad program. You are also eligible for Federal Student loans.

Conduct While Studying Abroad

All students participating in overseas activities must review NJCU's "Student Code of Conduct" and certify that they will abide by the Code's requirements


Insurance

If your program does not include insurance, YOU MUST PURCHASE INSURANCE. The Office of International programs will review insurance options with you.
