Dear OSP Student,

Good news and bad. The good news is that a majority of OSP students read my April 21* letter and sent us their e-mail address. They will soon receive an e-mail from me informing them about summer reimbursements, OSP book voucher dates, OSP Fall seminars, and Fall EOF grants. In addition, since they complied with my request, they will be eligible to receive their summer reimbursements, fall grants & book vouchers.

The bad news is that I never received your e-mail address. You therefore will not be eligible to receive a summer reimbursement, F’08 book voucher and EOF grant. Also, if you are in your ninth semester of receiving state funds and do not receive EOF, you will automatically be ineligible to receive your fall ’08 TAG grant.

So, what happened? Did you forget to respond? Did your counselor forget to forward your e-mail address to us? Did your dog eat your mail that day?

Information regarding everything mentioned in my first paragraph will be on the OSP web site and on our bulletin board. The book voucher workshops will be held in August, so you had better take a look at our web site today. http://web.njcu.edu/dept/osp/

Also, if you want to be considered for a summer reimbursement, EOF grant and/or book voucher this fall, you need to contact Ms Dorane Johnson 201-200-3167 or djohnson2@njcu.edu right away and give her your e-mail address. Do this no later than the first week of the fall semester. After that it will be too late. We will not be able to help you.

* This was in my letter that was mailed to you earlier [4/21].

If you want to continue to receive EOF/OSP grants, reimbursements & deferments, you need to complete your FAFSA and send your OSP counselor your e-mail address so we can contact you electronically. If you do not have your own e-mail address, you can use your NJCU account, but it must be an account you will view on a regular basis. If I contact you electronically, I need to know you will be able to receive our message. Send your e-mail address to your OSP counselor now, and notify him/her if your e-mail address changes. Please remember, if we do not get an e-mail address from you, we will not request a grant for you. If you have a question regarding creating an e-mail account, contact your OSP counselor for assistance.
