Assistant/Associate Professor/Program Coordinator
Accelerated BSN Program
Anticipated Vacancy

 

Anticipated Start Date:         September 1, 2010

 

Full time, all specialties considered; community health specialization preferred.  Doctorate preferred.  Will have teaching responsibilities at Jersey City campus and at the Communiversity (Wall Township, NJ).   

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of accelerated, second-degree generic BSN program at the Jersey City campus
  • Teach theoretical and clinical courses in area of expertise
  • Participate in marketing and other activities to promote recruitment of students
  • Serve as clinical nursing faculty in areas of specialization as required
  • Participate in committee work as needed to support the goals of the department, college, and university

Requirements:

  • Current New Jersey State Nursing License at time of hire
  • MSN from professionally accredited institution
  • Doctorate preferred
  • Employment experience in clinical specialty
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Demonstrated technological competence
  • Evidence of strong leadership skills
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Commitment to diversity among faculty, staff and student body
  • Dynamic and student-centered
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with external constituencies
