Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2010
Full time, all specialties considered; community health specialization preferred. Doctorate preferred. Will have teaching responsibilities at Jersey City campus and at the Communiversity (Wall Township, NJ).
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of accelerated, second-degree generic BSN program at the Jersey City campus
- Teach theoretical and clinical courses in area of expertise
- Participate in marketing and other activities to promote recruitment of students
- Serve as clinical nursing faculty in areas of specialization as required
- Participate in committee work as needed to support the goals of the department, college, and university
Requirements:
- Current New Jersey State Nursing License at time of hire
- MSN from professionally accredited institution
- Doctorate preferred
- Employment experience in clinical specialty
- Previous teaching experience
- Demonstrated technological competence
- Evidence of strong leadership skills
- Evidence of strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Commitment to diversity among faculty, staff and student body
- Dynamic and student-centered
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interface with external constituencies
