Anticipated Start Date:         September 1, 2010

Duties:  Responsible for working with students in a counseling program preparing for CACREP accreditation.  To teach graduate courses in counseling, on and off campus. Teach courses in online and blended formats.  Participation in departmental activities and advisement is required.  Participation in counseling organizations is essential.  Research and scholarly activities are expected. 

Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in counselor education and supervision required; doctorate from a CACREP accredited institution preferred.  LPC licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in New Jersey.  Knowledge of curriculum, procedures and protocol for CACREP accreditation for clinical mental health counseling and school counseling.  Demonstration of a clear commitment to urban education and the ability to work with diverse candidates, faculty, and school community stakeholders.  Evidence of research and/or scholarly publications and experience as a school counselor or mental health counselor required..
