Assistant Professor Anticipated Vacancy
Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2010
The William J. Maxwell College of Arts and Sciences at New Jersey City University is seeking candidates for a part-time position or full-time tenured-track position of Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department beginning in fall 2010.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching courses in Judicial Process, Legal Research and Writing, Civil Liberties, Constitutional Law, International Relations, and Political Science Methodology.
- Coordinating and advising the Pre-Law Minor Program.
- Developing and implementing a strategic plan to enhance the Pre-Law Minor Program.
- Handling special projects and other administrative duties as assigned by Department Chair.
Education, Experience, and Special Skills Required:
- JD or Ph.D. in Political Science required;
- Extensive teaching experience; and
- Significant publications.
