Make your summer worth it: get ahead, catch up, or learn something new.
NJCU offers nearly 500 undergraduate and graduate-level courses, continuing education options, and even special programs for high school students.
Whatever your interest, you'll find something great at New Jersey City University.
With the convenience of two summer sessions to choose from, NJCU creates a way you can get ahead, catch up, earn credits toward your degree, and still enjoy summer vacation! For current students at NJCU and for students who attend other colleges and plan to return to New Jersey this summer, your Summer of Opportunity brings it all home!
Current and Former NJCU Students
Current New Jersey City University students can register for classes online. Former New Jersey City University undergraduate students who have not attended NJCU for more than three semesters should contact the Registrars Office at (201) 200-3334 for assistance. Current or former graduate students should contact the Office of Graduate Studies at (201) 200-3409 for detailed registration information.
NJCU 2013 Summer Session Tuition Deferment
The 2013 Summer Session Tuition Deferment Plan is an option provided by the University to assist current NJCU students who are motivated to continue their studies but face economic challenges in paying the tuition by the payment deadline.
Enrolling in NJCU is easy. We will assist you with the registration process and help you enroll, whether you are looking to pursue a degree, a certificate program, or if you wish to take a class simply for professional enrichment, or for the joy of it! Please contact (201) 200-3234 if you need further assistance.
Visiting Undergraduate Students
If you are currently enrolled at another college or university, visit New Jersey City University and join us this summer. Taking a summer course is an ideal way to get ahead. Come experience the New Jersey City University advantage; COMPLETE OUR VISITING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS REGISTRATION FORM today to get started.
Visiting Graduate Students
If you are a graduate of another college or university, or currently enrolled in graduate study at another institution and wish to take courses at NJCU for transfer purposes, you may apply for admission to graduate study as a "visiting student." A visiting student must submit an Application for Admission to Graduate Study and an approval letter from the Dean or Department Chairperson of the degree granting college to the Office of Graduate Studies by the respective deadline date. The visiting student will follow regular registration procedures as a new student. Visiting graduate students should contact the Office of Graduate Studies at (201) 200-3409 for further assistance.
Non-Degree Graduate Study in the Summer
Qualified students who are graduates of an accredited college or university may take summer graduate courses (on-campus, off-campus or online) on a "courses only basis," without being admitted to a degree or certificate program. You may take this opportunity to try out graduate study or to enhance your credentials. For example, teachers and other professionals may earn credits that they need for professional development purposes. Interested students should complete a regular graduate application. If you decide to continue your studies at NJCU beyond the summer, up to 12 credits may be counted in your academic plan. Please contact the Office of Graduate Studies at (201) 200-3409 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
The Office of Continuing Education offers non-credit classes, workshops, and seminars for learners of all ages-from primary school children to senior citizens. Classes are offered on an on-going basis, moderately priced, and always a valuable learning experience. If you believe, as we do, that learning is a lifelong endeavor, NJCU invites you to explore a myriad of new learning opportunities this summer.
