WHAT IS PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAMS?

College Bound, Upward Bound and GEARUP programs at New Jersey City University are comprehensive support programs. They provide academic support and college preparation activities to middle school and high school students. These programs guide students on the path to a college or university and provides tools for academic success.

 

With a college education, students gain career options, knowledge and skills that will last a lifetime.

 

The majority of the students are from low income families  and will be the first in their families to graduate from college.

 

 

Upward Bound is funded by the US Department of Education.

GEAR UP  is funded by the US Department of Education through a partnership with the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education and New Jersey City University.

College Bound is funded by the NJ Commision on Higher Education and New Jersey City University.
