NJCU FRESHMAN EXPRESS
This summer, New Jersey City University will offer entering first-time freshmen the opportunity to begin college-level work during the summer before their freshman year and to make the transition from high school to college with ease and confidence.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?
All accepted first time first year students are
eligible to take advantage of this three option program during NJCU’s Summer
Session II, which runs from July 9th to August 9th, 2012.
PROGRAM BENEFITS

Freshman Express participants save money and
often reduce the time required to complete anundergraduate degree
by getting a head-start on either developmental or college-level requirementsFreshman Express participants save both time and money and increase the likelihood of graduating in four years by getting a head-start on either developmental or college-level requirements.

Freshman Express participants build a support system of faculty, advisors, staff, and other students and enter the fall 2012 semester with a strong foundation for academic and social success.

Freshman Express participants learn to navigate the NJCU system of support services and academic resources, allowing for a smoother adjustment to college life.

Freshman Express participants receive intensive training in the areas of reading, writing and critical thinking, developing and reinforcing the skills they will rely on most heavily throughout their academic careers.
