This summer, New Jersey City University will offer entering first-time freshmen the opportunity to begin college-level work during the summer before their freshman year and to make the transition from high school to college with ease and confidence.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?

• Freshman Express participants save both time and money and increase the likelihood of graduating in four years by getting a head-start on either developmental or college-level requirements.
  
  
• Freshman Express participants build a support system of faculty, advisors, staff, and other students and enter the fall 2008 semester with a strong foundation for academic and social success.
  
  
• Freshman Express participants learn to navigate the NJCU system of support services and academic resources, allowing for a smoother adjustment to college life. 
  
  
• Freshman Express participants receive intensive training in the areas of reading, writing and critical thinking, developing and reinforcing the skills they will rely on most heavily throughout their academic careers.
