Once students are admitted to the university, they will contact the University Advisement Center to schedule Writing and Math placement tests. Based on placement scores, and in consultation with an academic advisor, each interested student will be enrolled the appropriate option (A, B, or C).

Option A participants will take a 6 credit course cluster, consisting of an intensive developmental reading and writing course, and a variety of freshmen orientation workshops designed to acclimate them to the NJCU campus, its resources, and to university life and learning. Students who enroll in this option will receive a 50% tuition reduction for Summer Session II. All credits will fulfill college requirements.

Option B participants will enroll in a 4 credit course cluster, consisting of one course selected from a variety of general studies offerings and a section of Orientation to College, a course designed to acclimate them to the NJCU campus, its resources, and to university life and learning. Students who enroll in this option will receive a 50% tuition reduction for Summer Session II. All credits will count toward their degree program.

Option C participants will take a 4 or 5 credit course cluster, consisting of an intensive developmental math course, and a section of Orientation to College, a course designed to acclimate them to the NJCU campus, its resources, and to university life and learning. Students who enroll in this option will receive a 50% tuition reduction for Summer Session II. All credits will fulfill college requirements.
