Option A participants will take a 6-credit course block, consisting of an intensive developmental reading and writing course and a variety of freshmen orientation workshops designed to acclimate them to the NJCU campus, its resources, and to university life and learning. Students who enroll in this option will receive a 50% tuition reduction for Summer Session II. All 6 credits will fulfill college requirements.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Reading and Writing Across the Disciplines
INTD 090 (4 non-degree credits) and INTD 105 (2 degree credits) Reading and Writing across the Disciplines is a two-part course that provides reading and writing instruction for students whose entrance exams indicate the need for developmental work before entering English Composition I. RWAD serves as the equivalent of College Writing and Reading for College. Students enrolled in RWAD must earn a passing grade in the course and on the English Department’s Minimum Competency Essay Test (MCET) in order to enroll in English 101.
