Book Lending Policy

The M. Jerry Weiss Center will permit faculty (full-time and adjunct) of New Jersey City University and M. Jerry Weiss Center Advisory Board members to borrow books from the Center. The M. Jerry Weiss Center shall also permit students in graduate courses in the Literacy Education department to borrow one (1) children’s or young adult book at a time, as long as they are enrolled in an appropriate course.

• In order to borrow from the Center, a faculty/staff member must present his/her official Gothic ID. Advisory Board members will not need to present an ID.

• A student must present his/her student ID as well as a signed permission form from a Literacy Education faculty member.

• All borrowed books must be listed on the M. Jerry Weiss Borrowing Form.

• The borrower will be held responsible for the books. Any lost or damaged books must be replaced by the borrower. The borrower shall acknowledge his/her obligations by providing a signature on the borrowing form.

• Borrowed books must be returned by the end of the semester.

• A signature of the borrower must be provided when books are returned.
