History of Project Eye-to-Eye at NJCU Project Eye-to-Eye began on New Jersey City University in 2005, a site for the national organization of Project Eye-to-Eye. In the beginning, things started out small, the organization contained five mentors and mentees for the first two years.
During the first few years, the NJCU students met at A. Harry Moore Laboratory School weekly to do art projects with middle/high school students. Not only did the mentors meet with his/her mentees at A. Harry Moore, but they also met at NJCU events.
Now, NJCU students mentor a large group that is mixed with grammar, middle and high school students. Therefore, mentors have the opportunity and privilege to not only work with his/her mentee on art projects, but tduring one-on-one sessions and attend A. Harry Moore Laboratory School events.
