Community Connection Working Group
Charge/Description: This committee is charged with assessing the University in terms of outreach to, and connection with, various community constituencies within, around, and among New Jersey City University and related environments. In order to address this goal, the committee will conduct a SWOT analysis in regard to the aforementioned communal areas. In doing so, it will look at items, issues, and phenomena that include, but are not limited to, the following: ·
- Sponsored schools,educational programming, and agencies
- Career-related placement initiatives
- Arts-related initiatives
- Philanthropic endeavors
- Public information and community relations
- Public safety
- Community service and volunteerism
- Grants and sponsored programs
- Pre-college programming
- Veterans’ affairs
For each of these and related areas, the committee will evaluate strengths, weaknesses, unmet needs, and potential directions.
