Globalization Working Group

Charge/Description: The committee is charged with assessing the goals and processes of globalization at New Jersey City University. To realize this objective, the committee has adopted a working definition of Globalization as follows: “Globalization is the process of integrating international, intercultural, or global dimensions into the purpose, function, and delivery of post-secondary education”.* The committee will examine the potential impact of Globalization efforts upon the University and conduct SWOT analyses of issues in three areas including, but not limited to:
  1. Curriculum- adaption of existing courses and development of new courses which promote global issues and themes as well as the integration of such materials into all areas of the curriculum
  2. Programming- the status of co-curricular programming such as Study Abroad, university exchanges, and credit- bearing and non- credit overseas experiential learning
  3. Populations- the recruitment, retention, and support of international students and visiting "students and scholars and their integration into the NJCU community.
