Globalization Working Group
Charge/Description: The committee is charged with assessing the goals and processes of globalization at New Jersey City University. To realize this objective, the committee has adopted a working definition of Globalization as follows: “Globalization is the process of integrating international, intercultural, or global dimensions into the purpose, function, and delivery of post-secondary education”.* The committee will examine the potential impact of Globalization efforts upon the University and conduct SWOT analyses of issues in three areas including, but not limited to:
- Curriculum- adaption of existing courses and development of new courses which promote global issues and themes as well as the integration of such materials into all areas of the curriculum
- Programming- the status of co-curricular programming such as Study Abroad, university exchanges, and credit- bearing and non- credit overseas experiential learning
- Populations- the recruitment, retention, and support of international students and visiting "students and scholars and their integration into the NJCU community.
