Current Projects

These are projects that I am currently working on.

My upcoming is Technology in the High School English Class published by ISTE.  It should be out in early '08.  It's been a pleasure to write and research.  I have three great contributors as well.  I'll post more in Updates and New Material as it comes to fruition.  I don't know about the next book...I've basically written everything I know in this one.

 
Podcourse--I have been working with NJeSchool, the largest online public high school in New Jersey, to develop an online high school English course that uses student-created podcasts. You can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes by searching for 'podcourse'. I'm working on a long article (or short book) that explains the backstory--the rationales, values, goals of the course and how the student projects connect to ideas of new literacies and participatory culture.  The course web site has some projects, student samples and rationales of the work.

 

Folger Shakespeare Library's Teaching Shakespeare Institute.  I am a National Workshop Leader and adviser for technology in the teaching of Shakespeare.  I have developed their program and program assessments as well as give workshops to language arts teachers.  I'm currently consulting on their podcasting initiative.  Should be very interesting and innovative.
