Professor Englert primarily teaches and publishes within the fields of British literature, the history of the novel, and early British and American print culture.  She brings these interests to her teaching of the Introduction to the Study of Literature, the Capstone Seminar, and Reading and Writing Across the Disciplines.  She currently serves as the co-chair of the English department and the coordinator of the First Year Experience Program and the Freshman Express Program. 

Her most recent work focuses on Mary Wollstonecraft's novelistic revisions of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Samuel Richardson.
