  Why Minor in Women's and Gender Studies?
  
 


A minor in Women's and Gender Studies prepares students with an understanding of the interrelations among men and women in different political and global locations with varying degrees of access to power and privilege. Our students are prepared to take a leadership position in a variety of venues, from hospital rooms to the workplaces of small businesses, from desks in police stations to the boardrooms of corporate America.

 Our Graduates

Our graduates have gone on to pursue a variety of challenging experiences in graduate and professional schools as well as ina wide variety of careers including public administration,  social work, elementary, high school, and higher education, activism in the not for-profit sector, local and state politics, psychological services and counseling.
