Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI)

The Emerging Leaders Institute is a freshman retention initiative designed to strengthen the leadership skills of first-year students at New Jersey City University. Students must apply and are accepted based on interests and previous leadership experiences. ELI offers a full academic year of workshops, outings, leadership opportunities and more that help to prepare first-year student to become successful in future leadership roles on campus. These roles may include and are not limited to: SGO Officers, Student Representatives on University Committees, Student Members of the Board of Trustees, Interns, etc.
