MISSION
As part of a diverse and inclusive community, the mission of the Center for Student Success is to offer access to quality peer and tutoring services and academic resources that will enable students to attain the necessary skills, strategies, and behaviors to improve their academic standing and to identify appropriate career objectives.
The CSS is an outgrowth of University participation in the BEAMS’(Building Engagement and Attainment for Minority Students)initiative, which was intended to facilitate minority students’ participation in and completion of higher education.
Designed for
all NJCU students, the CSS will be a repository for study skills and learning strategies resources, including peer tutoring in entry level courses, workshops on achieving academic success, and referrals to academic departments and support programs. |
