DEATH PENALTY INTERNET ACTIVITIES

1. Go to The Yahoo site on the Death Penalty
 
 

 Find the following information:
 

• The year that capital punishment was re-introduced in the United States.
• The number of people who have been executed since the death penalty was reintroduced.
• The state with the most executions.
• Learn about one or two cases where the death penalty was applied.
• Why was it applied? Do you think it was fairly applied?

2. Find at least 2 sites that defend the death penalty

3. Find at least 2 sites which oppose the death penalty.

4. With which sites do you most agree? With which sites do you disagree?

 Write an essay  providing the information from steps 4-6 above. Include in your report the sources and websites of your information.
Be sure to include:

* The title of the page.

* The website address of the page; for example: http://www.divorcereform.org/fights.html

* The organization sponsoring the page (e.g. law firm, publisher, political group, newspaper, religious organization, etc.)

* Your personal reaction to the articles.
