Our ESL faculty are professionals in the field of English as a Second Language. Most of us have advanced degrees in areas ranging from education to English as a Second Language to linguistics. Our preparation requires training in syntax, phonology, pragmatics, discourse analysis, semantics, and teacher preparation, to name just a few disciplines. Our program represents an interdisciplinary approach to language learning. In short, we are trained not only to teach English to non-native speakers of English, but to be researchers and teacher trainers as well.
