Undergraduate applicants must prepare
two contrasting Musical Theatre selections,
(Up-beat and Ballad) as well as a two minute
monologue (all memorized). In addition, applicants
should be prepared to take part in a brief movement/dance
exercise.

  • The center of Musical Theatre Productions at NJCU. In MTW, Musical Theatre works are chosen, created, personalized and developed. Emphasis is placed audition technique, interpretation of material and rehearsal as well as delving into a wide variety of styles, from full length book musicals to intimate cabarets and reviews. Members of MTW also explore other off campus performance opportunities as the representative ensemble for NJCU’s Musical Theatre Studies Program.
