Fire Science Senior, Andrew Scharf was hired on June 30, 2010 to EMS FDNY. Andrew started his career as a volunteer firefighter with the East Brunswick Fire Department. Scharf has been with the East Brunswick Fire Department for seven years. Scharf began the training for his new career in early July, and stated that he was looking forward to it. When asked how NJCU Fire has made an impact on his life, he stated, “NJCU opened my eyes to what’s out there. I gained a great deal of information from all the classes. I still plan on completing my education and will continue to take classes.”
