Bachelor of Science – Fire Science (Summa cum Laude).
Chief Roberts was appointed to the Millburn Fire Department in 1981 after serving in the volunteer sector from 1976 to 1981.
While furthering his education, he was promoted to Captain in 1990, followed by Battalion Chief in 1998.
During this time he was decorated for his life saving actions at extreme personal risk while in the performance of his duties.
Promoted to Chief of Department in 2003, mike has been instrumental as the liaison to the Saint Barnabas Hospital Burn Foundation and Burn Center.
A member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Fire Academy & Research Center, he is a 1991 Fire Science graduate of New Jersey City University.
