Oceanport Volunteer Firefighter and NJCU Fire Science major Reiss Pfleger was recently honored by the Oceanport Town Council for going above and beyond the call of duty. On April 15, 2010, nine members of the Oceanport Fire Department, including Reiss were honored for their assistance to an EMS call during a severe winter storm on Feb. 25^th, 2010. The honorees responded to a “CPR in progress” call and upon arrival continued CPR until EMS and Paramedics arrived. Hats off to Reiss and the other Oceanport volunteer firefighters!
