Students on NJCU Campus .. enjoying the day!

The Health Science Department offers a wide range of graduate and undergraduate programs. To find out more about each of these programs, use the  menu on the left to bring you directly to your area of interest. Our overriding goal is to provide a high quality education in each program area. We aim to produce highly competant health professionals who are also:
  • NJCU students walking to class on a nice summer day.Critical thinkers and problem solvers
  • Self-directed learners
  • Effective communicators
  • Culturally competent citizens who recognize how racism, sexism, prejudice, and power impact on the health and well being of the public
  • Actively engaged citizens and professionals who advocate for social change, particularly in relation to improving the people's health and eliminating health disparities
Our classes are given in a variety of formats in order to meet the different needs of our students. Almost all graduate courses are offered both on campus and online. Undergraduate courses are offered in the day and evening. Some courses are web-enhanced and some are offered on weekends.

On both the graduate and undergraduate levels, students with little experience in the field take either an internship or residency. These experiences give students practical hands-on experience at the end of their academic studies.
