Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences
with School Nurse Certification Completion of this program, approved by the New Jersey State Department of Education meets the requirements for the Educational Services Certificate Endorsement as a Certified School Nurse.
This endorsement authorizes the holder to perform nursing services and to teach in areas related to health in public schools in grades preschool through 12.(N.J.Department of Education Administrative Code title 6A: Chapter 9-13.3)
Students must hold current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse, and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. To be considered for admission into this program, a student must have an Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 and a minimum of 5 years work experience in nursing.
** Students may transfer up to 9 credits of equivalent coursework into this program at the discretion of the program coordinator, upon review of transcripts. *** All students are required to meet with the Coordinator of the School Nurse Certification Program prior to acceptance into the program.
