Executive Certificate in Professional Financial Planning
 
NJCU’s Outstanding Financial Planning Curriculum
(Without Enrolling in Graduate School!)
 
Six Courses — Complete in as little as 9 months or take up to three years. You set the pace.
  • Foundations of Financial Planning*
  • Risk Management and Insurance Planning*
  • Income Tax Planning for Individuals and Businesses
  • Investment Planning and Portfolio Analysis
  • Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits
  • Estate Planning
*Offered in both Fall and Spring terms. The Foundations course must be taken in your first term. It is recommended that you take the Risk Management course prior to or concurrent with the Estate Planning course.
 
Cost $895 per course plus books, payable by check or credit card. To enroll in this program, you must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university and two years experience in the financial services field.
 
Courses are available online, web-blended or in the classroom. All classroom courses meet at our Harborside Plaza 4A site at the corner of Washington Street and Christopher Columbus Drive in Jersey City’s Financial District.
 
Note: Students who choose this Certificate will not be allowed to apply the course work toward our Master of Science in Finance. If you wish to receive graduate credit, enroll in our Graduate Certificate in Professional Financial Planning.
 
Classes meet one night per week from 6:00—8:30 pm, or if web-blended, from 6:00—7:15 or 7:30—8:45 pm.
 
•  Spring classes start January 14, 2008 and end May 20, 2008
•  Summer courses (when available) are online
•  Fall classes start September 2, 2008 and end December 15, 2008

**  Web-blended course: Web-blended courses are designed for busy professionals. All handouts and lecture notes are available online and homework and tests are administered online. When you travel on business or have to miss a class, get all lecture notes online, but still have the advantage of a live professor when you are in town.
