Financial Aid

Financial AidFinancial aid is available to graduate students. Most aid is for full-time students, but there is some for part-time. The NJCU Office of Financial Aid can give you further information. A personal visit can be very helpful.

For all government sponsored or guaranteed programs, including loans, you will need to first apply for a PIN and then fill out the FAFSA, a form from the government. You can do it online or on paper, but the online version is recommended because the online application lets you know when you have made a mistake, avoiding delays.

To obtain an PIN number and fill out the FAFSA go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

"The Federal government will often underwrite low cost loans, called Stafford Loans, for you regardless of financial need."
Do not make the mistake of thinking that you will not qualify for one of the low-cost loans currently available from the government. The Federal government will underwrite low cost loans, called Stafford Loans, for you regardless of financial need.

In addition, as a state university, NJCU has tuition waivers for members of the New Jersey National Guard, and if you are unemployed, speak to your employment counselor - you may be eligible for a New Jersey Workforce grant.
