Apply Online You can apply online. Once you have completed all items on the checklist below, your application will be complete.
  • Minimum 2.75 undergraduate GPA

  • Official Transcripts from all educational institutions previously attended. At least one transcript must show that you received a bachelor’s degree. (Note: Most schools now allow you to order an official transcript online. Have your transcript sent to Graduate Studies Department, New Jersey City University, 2039 John F Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07305.) If you have an unofficial transcript that you can submit right away, you can expedite your admission by mailing it to that address. Conditional admission can be granted with the unofficial transcript, but you will not be fully admitted or matriculated until the official transcript is received.

  • Take the GMAT, or have GMAT scores from tests previously taken sent to the Graduate Studies Department at the address above. For information on the GMAT, visit
    http://www.mba.com/mba/default.htm.)

  • Submit two recommendations from people who know you well. Download a convenient form (.pdf) to print out and give to the people who are going to recommend you.

*Please note that the Business Administration Department reserves the right to require a personal interview for admission.

You may not be sure that you are ready for graduate school. If you have the necessary undergraduate GPA, our graduate certificates allow you to "get your feet wet" without the GMAT, taking only one or two courses. They are ideal for busy executives.

You should be aware, however, that graduate studies do require more diligence and attention to detail than do undergraduate courses, and that you will be expected to take more initiative in learning than someone still studying for a bachelor's degree.
To apply for a Graduate Certificate Program, you have the same requirements EXCEPT you are not required to take the GMAT, and of course, your essay will be about why you are interested in taking the particular certificate you have chosen.

Your application will be evaluated holistically. NJCU reserves the right to request a personal interview of applicants. Persons with lengthy and relevant experience in the financial services field are invited and encouraged to apply.

Most universities and colleges now allow you to order your transcripts online. Direct the official transcripts to the Department of Graduate Studies, New Jersey City University, 2039 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07305. If you have an unofficial copy of your transcripts, you may mail photocopies to expedite the admissions process. Any admission based on unofficial transcripts will be conditional until the official transcripts are received.
