Core Courses(Required of all concentrations)
In addition, the courses required for each concentration are:
A capstone course that consists of either a Master's theses or project is the final course in your program. For courses in your concentration, see the brochure for the Certificate in your desired specialty. You will automatically receive the certificate when you complete the courses required. If your undergraduate degree was not in business, you may need to take certain courses to prepare you for the Master of Science curriculum. Undergraduate accounting, economics, managerial finance, and pre-calculus for business are among the courses that you may need to take. In addition, the Master of Science in Finance requires good writing skills, and both technological and information literacy. When you have your interview with an advisor, he or she will help you assess your background. With proper preparation, you are on your way to successful completion. Plus, there is a bonus in the way that our MSF is constructed.

Each of the concentrations prepares you to sit for a national or international examination for prestigious financial services designations:
When you are approximately halfway through your Masters degree, you will have covered all the topics you need for one of these examinations. You will also receive an NJCU Graduate Certificate when you have finished your concentration.
