Effective June 4, 2008, New Jersey City University became the first institution of higher education in New Jersey to receive certification for its “
Information Systems Security Officers, Standard
4014 (Entry Level) —Under Authority of the National Security Agency,” a certification program for information security professionals, from the Committee on National Security Systems.
Certification by the national agency ensures that the NJCU certificate program complies with the National Training Standard for Information Systems Security Officers. This CNSS certification is valid for five years (2008-2013).
