Effective June 5, 2007, New Jersey City University became the fourth institution of higher education in New Jersey to receive certification for its “ Information Security (INFOSEC) Standard 4011—Under Authority of the National Security Agency,” a certification program for information security professionals, from the Committee on National Security Systems.

Certification by the national agency ensures that the NJCU certificate program complies with the National Training Standard for Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals. This CNSS certification is valid for five years (2007-2012).
