In concert with launching the inaugural doctoral degree program in Civil [Homeland] Security, NJCU will be hosting a regional Security Symposium on December 7, 2012 from 9am to 3pm (registration 8-9am). This is NJCU's second regional symposium since being designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in 2009 by the DHS and the NSA. CPEs and limited vendor tables will be available. The one-day conference costs are $65, which includes continental (light) breakfast, buffet lunch and coffee/tea throughout the day. Corporate sponsors are also welcome.

Mr. Gregory (Greg) Ehrie will be presenting on behalf of Robert S. Muller, III - the Director of the FBI. He is one of five Assistant Special Agents in Charge (ASAC) at the Newark Office of the FBI. Greg is responsible for the Office's Intelligence programs and will be talking about the importance of actionable Intelligence and the analytical work that his analysts perform on a daily basis.

Edward Dickson was appointed in February 2012 by Governor Chris
Christie to serve as the Director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland
Security and Preparedness (OHSP). Director Dickson’s responsibilities
include oversight for the State of New Jersey’s counterterrorism and
intelligence sharing efforts, its Emergency Preparedness and Response
activities, and the protection of New Jersey’s critical infrastructure
and sensitive assets. He will be speaking about his office and role in New Jersey's Homeland Security and preparedness.

Eduard J. Emde, CPP, is principal consultant for BMKISS Europe, an
independent security support organization based in the Netherlands. The
first non-U.S. president of ASIS International, Mr. Emde has more than
20-years' experience in security and security risk management.
Previously, he served as manager, Consultancy Services for Interseco in
The Hague, Netherlands, and as head, Safety and Security, at the
European Space Agency's European Space Research and Technology Centre. He will be speaking about the future of the Security profession.

Major General, United States Air Force (Retired) Robert A. "Rosie" Rosenberg will serve as our Keynote and panel facilitator. Following a 30 year career in the USAF, he served 16 years in Science Applications International Corporation, ending as Executive VP & GM, Washington Operations, before stepping down November, ‘03, after surviving cancer surgery. In retirement, he has spent his time chairing or serving on DOD and Intelligence Community Advisory Boards, continuing his passion since retirement from the military to serve our warriors in harm’s way. Currently he Chairs GPS, Space Technology and Air Force Research Lab Boards. He will be joined with his colleagues for a panel discussion on the recently declassified
Hexagon mission: the above speakers, Phil Datema, R. Evans Hineman, and Mike Ferrara.
