(effective for 2009 - 2014)To assure student exposure to updated information, professional seminars and presentations, NJCU has developed a strong relationship with the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). Security events will be hosted and/or co-sponsored by the program.
Faculty and students work together to conduct applicable research addressing issues critical to contemporary private and public security and their interdependence. Students have the opportunity and are encouraged to participate in faculty and professional activities as they relate to security programs. A key aspect of the program is to provide students an opportunity to work with professional security personnel to learn effective security practice and management. A unique program allowing students to interact with other security practitioners in dealing with realistic, problem-based collaborative scenarios and case studies.
